Beaumont
Village is ideally located on the south-westerly edge of Aldershot,
close to the historic town of Farnham. Farnham, with its Georgian
buildings crowned by a 12th Century castle overlooking it's gem
of a centre, provides some outstanding opportunities for shopping
and for lunch or dinner with many fine restaurants and bistros catering
for all tastes.
The area around Beaumont Village features some of the country's
most outstanding natural beauty spots. Frensham Ponds, Alice Holt,
Rowhills Nature Reserve and Tweseldown Racecourse are all close
by as well as some magnificent archetypal English country villages
such as Thursley, Tilford, Odiham, Dogmersfield, Well and Crondall
which have all retained their rural charm and character.
Aldershot itself has a wide range of shops including The Wellington
Centre with a Marks and Spencer and conveniently situated just opposite
The Village, within walking distance, is a Tesco Superstore.
For
shopping and leisurely trips slightly further afield, there's much
to choose from - Fleet, Guildford, Camberley and of course, there's
always the lure of London via Aldershot's main line train station
that provides a service to Waterloo in under 45 minutes.
If it's sporting or leisure pastimes you're after, a wide range
of clubs and facilities are available locally including keep-fit,
swimming, bowls, tennis and cricket. For golfers, there are numerous
local clubs including The Army Golf Club in Aldershot, The Sands
in Farnham and Southwood in Farnborough.
By road, Aldershot has excellent transport links, with the A325
providing swift access to Famborough and Farnham, the A31 leading
to Guildford and the A331 providing a fast link to the M3, which
in turn leads to the South Coast, Central London, the M25, Heathrow
and Gatwick Airports. |
